Airtel mChek Service now on Voice
Airtel India’s leader in GSM service provider, has taken its mCheck application a step further. Airtel has launched the same service on the voice platform, earlier it was only available through SMS. mChek will enable Airtel customers to pay their mobile bills, recharge digital TV, buy tickets, guy gifts, shopping online, paying insurance premium etc.
All you need is to Register your credit card or Bank account with mChek.

Nokia to launch Mobile Payment Gateway
World’s top mobile phone maker Nokia is going to start a Mobile Financial service next year keeping in mind the needs of the people in emerging market, where people own a Mobile phone but no bank account.
This service is basically a Mobile payment Gateway where subscribers will able to transfer money or topup Mobile with the click of a button.
This service will be provided by OboPay, a privately owned firm where Nokia invested earlier.

4G to Create Mess in Govt’s 3G Policy
As India is busy creating a policy for 3G Mobile Telephony, US based Motorola wants to test the next generation (4G) that could create a mess for the government’s plan to raise Rs.35,000 crore for selling radio frequency for the existing version.
Motorola, which has tested the new next generation technology, called Long Term Evolution (LTE), is going to test trial services of 4G that can offer speed upto 70 MB per second on Mobile phones.
Motorola is likey to approach Department of Telecom for trial spectrum.
This development may however prompt operators planning to launch 3G telephony to wait and watch.
